Audrey Jaffe is a faculty member at the University of Toronto English Department. She is the author of three books: Vanishing Points: Dickens, Narrative, and the Subject of Omniscience (1991); Scenes of Sympathy: Identity and Representation in Victorian Fiction (2000), and The Affective Life of the Average Man: The Victorian Novel and the Stock-Market Graph (2010).
